Improved earnings reports from U.S. companies could be good news for stocks, as they would make higher share prices justifiable on a price-earnings basis. S&P 500 companies on average are expected to report a 3.9 percent decline in second-quarter earnings from the same quarter a year ago and a 2.3 percent increase in September-quarter earnings, according to Thomson Reuters data. It's 11:30am ET, 8:30am PT and here's what I'm doing

Even though the stock market looks good, reality is it is not. The stats for the Dow 30 + DIA Analysis found on MktMetrics are declining 65, 61, 55 over the past three days. Furthermore, the ADV/DEC Ratio on NYSE has a High: .87, a Low: .35 in trading so far. Lastly, the DIA Open: 177.30 often has movement of 40 points, which it did for a high of 177.73. Let's see what happens...I'm short at higher prices.
